What is a “Health Check” or “Health Screening”?
“Health Check” or “Health Screening” is a yearlyfull check up assessment of your bodies health and general well being.
Checks may include:
- Blood Pressure
- Pulse reading
- Body Mass Index
- Review of any illnesses, medication and family history
A Blood Screening test maybe done and this will be gender specific but will include:
- Test for diabetes
- Liver function
- Cholesterol / body fats
- Thyroid gland function
- Tumour markers for bowel & ovarian cancer
- Blood count
- Renal function

A private health clinic that offer private health tests may also offer private blood testing with the private health checks.
